Dropbox recently updated their API from version 1 to version 2 (the API is the tool or “wiring” that we use to connect to their application). Their new API now requires an access code from Dropbox in order to authenticate your account.

If you had Dropbox setup/synced previously using the version 1 method you will need to re-authorize your account immediately in order to continue syncing your signed documents to your Dropbox account.

It’s very easy to do this!

IMPORTANT: You will first need to make sure you have updated WP E-Signature Business pack to version 1.5.1.1 or greater.

Be sure your Dropbox Sync Add-on is first enabled under “E-Signature” -> “Add-ons”

STEP 1:

Login to the document sender account (the user that is in charge of whatever document you are trying to sync).

STEP 2:

Go to the “Settings” -> “Customization” tab.

STEP 3:

Select the “Authprize” button under theĀ  “Please authorize your Dropbox account” section.

STEP 4:

Sign into your Dropbox account in the Dropbox popup

STEP 5:

Click “Allow” when prompted.

STEP 6:

Copy the access code that Dropbox provides you

STEP 7:

Paste the access code in the “Settings” -> “Customization” section of your account.

STEP 8:

Click “Save Settings” and you are finished.

All documents that were previously chosen to be synced to Dropbox using the v1 API are now synced for the v2 Api so you will not need to do anything else.
